Every year a new version of Mac OS X is released, a number of great reviews are published covering the operating system's features, usability, and detailed changes (duh). There's a long list of them; by far my favorite is John Siracusa's of Ars Technica, which should be published later today, but that's certainly not the only good one out there.
Update: The full review is now up on Ars Technica. 17 pages of reading tonight for me.
Though I've opted not to write about Leopard as a whole, I have been busy writing about Aqua. It's a piece I began writing about a month ago, while Leopard was still wrapped under the NDA, covering some history of the interface as well as some detailed aesthetic and usability changes. Normally I don't write so much about themes (I average 6 or 7 paragraphs for most reviews), but this one is a nice 17 paragraphs- or about 1,400 words.
You can read the whole thing over at MacThemes.
Note: Better yet, it's also got some fun vocabulary attached to it: how many people do you know that describe user interfaces with words like wildchild, intense, or lickable?
